About me

The finest thing about being a psychologist is getting to follow people through change. To hear about what hurts, what chafes and what works — and then to be there when something starts to shift. To witness how life can open up, and how something that used to be very hard to handle is met with greater ease.

I try to be both warm and straightforward in my role as a psychologist. I want to be clear even when I am uncertain myself, and not hide behind difficult words or theoretical concepts. For me, therapy is not only something we talk about. I want change to be noticeable already in the therapy room, and I want our conversations to help you do things differently outside it too. That can mean understanding what holds you back, but also actually trying something new. Sometimes it means me saying: I know this is hard. I still think you can do it. Let's try.

I work broadly with psychotherapy, but have a particular interest in the treatment of OCD and PTSD. Before I started my own practice I worked in adult psychiatry and within the care choice system, and I also have experience of entrepreneurship outside healthcare. Alongside therapy I offer workshops and lectures.

If you are curious about what it would feel like to meet me, you are very welcome to get in touch. We can start with a phone call and talk a little about what you are looking for, so that you can sense whether I seem to be the right psychologist for you.
